Private piano & keyboard lessons

A qualified piano and keyboard teacher, I have taught students of all styles and abilities for the past 20 years.

I am classically trained but am experiened at teaching everything from classical to pop, including jazz and theory. I tailor my lessons to suit the student, ensuring their enthusiasm for music is encouraged and maintained. I teach from my home in Sydenham on Mondays and Saturdays and all lessons are one-on-one.

Prices are negotiable if you're booking for more than one student but here is a guide:
$30: 20 minute beginner lesson
$40: 30 minute intermediate lesson
$60: One hour intermediate lesson or two 30 minute intermediate lessons

Some students like to do exams, some learn purely for their own pleasure. I believe I can teach anyone who wants to learn - regardless of their reason for taking up music. While not compulsory, I encourage students to study music theory - giving them a more rounded understanding of music.

Being a seasoned performer, I have plenty of contacts in the music business and can help you get on the gig circuit if that is what you'd like to do. I have been writing my own music for years, so can also help students embark on this exciting journey.
